No.... I'm not already injured. *knock on wood*
That tweak in my neck wasn't going away on it's own so I contacted my support crew!
I expect to start seeing them at least once a month for some quick relief.
When I first went to the chiropractor, I would break out into tears of fear when he cracked my neck. Now, I still want to cry, but can hold it back. I didn't get the cracks on video, but the best part is the post-crack massage bed! It's like an automatic foam roller....
The chiro visit was nice, but unfortunately not enough.
Next up- dry needling!
Again, I think I cried my first dry needling. It is the weirdest feeling, but gives total relief. I can foam roll, stretch, and trigger point for days.... but this is deep easy relief every time. Scary looking though....
This past week was just okay.
2 of my rides were on the trainer due to time constraints, and Monday run ended up being a walk due to a bout of diarrhea :/
I ate a banana. Bananas make me do that. Everyone raves about how bananas are good for muscles, but they fail to mention that they also "loosen" up the colon muscles too.
Ugh.
After dry needling today, I headed into Norton for our Bike to Beat Cancer training ride, partnered with LouVelo. It was super fun! I've learned so much working on this event, and it guilts me into getting on the bike more. Except today.... when I woke up with a flat tire.
Being honest, it takes me 20 minutes to change a flat. So I didn't take my bike, and used a LouVelo rental bike. Still fun!
I still have a 2 hour bike ride on Sunday, which I have no idea how I'm going to fit into my weekend. But here are some notes from Week 2:
Next week, I'll write about prepping for my inevitable Ohio River training swims! Yay.
