Sprint Triathlon, and super short post today. This lovely, warm weather keeps me so much more active!
I haven't "tri'd" since last September, when I did IRONMAN Augusta, so I knew I would be rusty. So today was for fun, and for continued recovery from the marathon.
It was rainy when I left home this morning, so I was having flashbacks to Carmel haha.
Saw a few familiar faces, and the Landsharks had a good showing, whether racing or volunteering. I'm really starting to warm up to them, especially knowing that they will be the ones keeping me most accountable with my IM training.
The triathlon today consisted of a 400m swim, 12 mile bike (short), and 5k run (long).
My swim today was good. Only got kicked and elbowed a few times, so that's nice.
I'm out of bike shape, but the run was great.
Took home a mini cooler as an award. At first glance, I thought it was a fanny pack, and was really excited. But things to keep my beer cold is fantastic too.
The Shelbyville Tri Series is a sweet entry level tri, and and even better start to the year for experienced folks.
This blog was pretty boring, BUT I did get my pics back from Carmel. They are amazing! And you wouldn't even know I was miserable! Yay!
Happy Sunday!
